After several years working in a Boston biotech law firm, I moved to Brooklyn to attend law school. Law school for me was an opportunity to expand on both on my legal knowledge and my understanding of how law interacted with businesses. I had the opportunity to work with a number of start-ups during these years and to see all of the different information they needed to get their businesses off the ground.
Since law school, I had continued to be active in the New York tech scene and have spent time working in patents and trademark. It was at a tech event, where someone suggested that I write about what I know and talk online about the basic legal issues and problems that matter to small businesses. That was the basis for creating StartUp Neophyte.
